Forklift batteries will only provide enough power for one shift.

November 13th, 2007 | by admin |

Employees in factories and warehouses use forklifts to lift, transport, and stack materials. If a factory or warehouse only operates one shift, one forklift will usually be sufficient. The forklift battery can be charged during hours that the place of business is not in operation. However, if the factory or warehouse operates more than one shift, more than one forklift or more than one battery for the sole forklift will need to be purchased. Forklift batteries will generally only put out enough power to run the equipment during one shift. When the next shift is ready to begin work, the forklift battery will be dead and unable to power the equipment. Another forklift will have to be put into operation while the one with the dead battery is charged, or another battery will have to be installed in the sole forklift while the previous battery is placed on a charger.
