Bible Binding Materials

Goatskin - They are traditionally recognized as Morocco leather. They are very beautiful and durable natural grain, top quality leather. They are very strong yet supple and are used for most of the finest bindings.
Calfskin leather - They are high quality traditional leather mostly used in fine bindings.
French Morocco leather - They are leather taken from split calfskin, a little thinner than other grades.
Bonded leather - They are made of 100% genuine leather fiber. A Cambridge bible mostly uses bonded leather.
Imitation leather - They are less costly material, which has a good similarity to genuine leather.
Berkshire leather - They are most commonly used in bookbinding.
