TerraServer Free Aerial Maps
August 28th, 2008 | by admin |I thought TerraServer was free? I go to their site and it looks like they want to charge me. I know it has been a while since I last looked at the site, which I thought used to be owned by Microsoft, or at least sponsored by it. Times change though I guess. UPDATE: Sorry, ugh, I had a blonde moment. There is actually two TerraServers, “TerraServer-USA” is the one with free aerial maps that I was looking for, and yes it is still property of Microsoft. Apparently the original TerraServer Project broke up after MS and the other TerraServer had a disagreement.
