There may be a genetic pre-deposition to certain illnesses or the family may be lopsided with girls or boys. They would like to have their family balanced and are willing to pursue whatever means are possible for baby’s gender selection. The Shettles Method claims to increase a couples chances of ending up with their child of choice. It’s based on the concept that gender is determined according to when intercourse occurs. The theory is that ovulation is the key factor in baby’s gender selection. It proposes that intercourse occur two to three days before ovulation for a girl and immediately prior to ovulation for a boy.
