There is a way too much that can be said about the 529 plans and everybody must be aware of the fact that they are available in United States to get a college degree.  529 plans  is derived from the Internal Revenue Code of United States from section 529 that allows the money to flow in specific type of funds growing unrestricted through federal taxes only if the money is being provided for college expenses. Most state governments and federal government do not tax 529 plans, unless the money is used for anything rather than college education.
