5 reasons I feel old!
September 18th, 2008 | by admin |Ever have one of those mornings where you get up and instantly feel old? Well, last week I sure did, and I sat down and thought off my top 5 reasons why I feel old:
1. Creaking, aching joints! You know what it’s like, you get up in the morning and you sound like a symphony of walnuts being cracked open. Somebody needs to invent something named “Bone Lube” so we can WD-40 our squeeky hinges.
2. Being tired by 8pm! Don’t deny it, you’ve been there with me, falling asleep on the couch with that little bit of drool coming out of your mouth. When I can’t even make it through the evening news I know I’m getting old.
3. Stretch marks and sagging skin. I finally got fed up with my old stretchy marks (cause I’m so flexible ha) and found out that microdermabrasion for stretch marks really can make them look less visible. Course doesn’t make me any younger, but hey, I’ll take look younger any day.
4. I’m getting cranky. Yep, it’s true, I’ve become that cantankerous old cuss that I rode a whole block out of my way on my bike when I was young to avoid.
5. People call me maam everywhere I go and offer to carry my grocery bags. Yep, that’s the official benchmark of old fogey-hood!
