Hearing Aid Experience and Opinion

My knowledge and experience with hearing aids and the dependability, when cost and performance is compared, leads me to think that these things must be eliminated from market until reliable and inexpensive products are available. I have noticed that inexpensive aids are more lasting for the given price. I use my shirt pocket unit of aids as a backup device. The only problem that I noticed is that the ear buds make my ears sore. Anyone has any suggestions as to where I can pick up some tubing? I would appreciate any help.
