I was taught according to the new guidelines, meaning that I know I should not give rescue breaths to an adult, unless he or she is the victim of a drowning or a drug overdose. I was certified before, and my certification had not yet expired. However, I decided I should take a refresher course when I heard about the new cpr guidelines. I wanted to learn hands-only cpr.
